Our Kindergarten recognises that families are children’s first and most influential teachers. We provide a welcoming environment to establish trusting, supportive relationships and collaborative partnerships with our families.
We believe that each child is a unique individual and the most effective way young children learn is through PLAY. Evidence shows that play can support learning across physical, social, emotional and intellectual areas of development.
We are guided by the Victorian and National years Learning Frameworks, the National Quality Standard and the Education and Care Services National Regulations Act.
We believe children can be successful, competent and capable learners able to construct their own understandings contribute to the learning of others and participate in decisions that affect them.
We believe in providing a warm, friendly and caring environment for children which will encourage and promote the development of their sense of identity, be effective communicators, confident learners, have a strong sense of well being and be able to contribute to their world through a play based curriculum which allows for independent choices and development.
We believe our community is an important resource and learning tool for our children and encourage and seek community involvement in teaching and learning.
We believe in an inclusive practice and celebrate each child’s uniqueness. Equity, inclusion and diversity are embedded in our kindergarten where all children regardless of background, age, gender or ability are supported to fully participate as valued members of the group.
